Not Sure If You Should Replace or Repair Your AC?

Here’s our simple guideline when making your decision.

                      Repair usually makes sense when

                      • The system is under 12 years old (and is serviced at least once a year)
                      • The repair costs well under half of a new system
                      • The system malfunction is isolated to a specific part of the unit
                      • Your system is still under warranty

You could consider a full replacement when

                      • Your system is well over 12 years old
                      • The repair costs more than half of a new system
                      • Energy bills keep climbing despite repairs
                      • It runs on R-22 refrigerant, which is scarce and costly

Highly recommend this company. Jaime and Zach were always up to date with me and told me everything they were doing every step of the way. Fixed my AC unit and now I can run my business back up! Thank you so much!”

“My heating and AC unit was broken. I called Anderson heating and cooling. They inspected the unit and gave me a price breakdown what it would cost to maintain the unit and what it would cost to get a new unit. The price was more than reasonable. They came out the next day and replaced the unit. Their workmanship was great. They left the work area spotless, and they completed the work in less than the quoted time. Efficient and cost effective and they guaranteed the work.”

                      Air Conditioning FAQs

Why is my AC running but not cooling the house?

AC issues could happen because of minor issues like a clogged filter or a dirty coil.

Or it could be because of a failed capacitor, a frozen indoor coil or a refrigerant leak. Give us a call and we’ll guide you through next steps.

How much does it cost to replace a central air conditioner?

Pricing depends on the tonnage and efficiency of the system, and whether any modifications to your ductwork are necessary. Fill in the form here to book an in-home estimate, or give us a call.

Do I have to replace my AC if it’s running on R-410A / R-22 refrigerant?

While R-410A is being phased out, you can still repair and recharge those systems.

Older R-22 systems use a refrigerant that hasn’t been produced or imported since 2020, so top-ups could be expensive.

Newer systems use R-454B now, but you could still use your old system if it is working well.
